Quoting pressure washing jobs consistently
Updated October 22, 2026 · For pressure washing and soft wash crews
Inconsistent quotes cost twice: underpriced jobs that eat a day, and overpriced ones that never book. A simple method, applied the same way every time, makes quotes faster and more profitable.
Measure the job
- House wash: square footage and number of stories.
- Roof: square footage, pitch and material.
- Concrete: square footage and staining.
- Extras: gutters, fences, decks, windows.
Estimate time and chemical
Price from the time the job will take (including setup and cleanup) and the chemical it will use, plus your target hourly rate. Track actual times on finished jobs and adjust your estimates; the numbers improve quickly.
Set a minimum
Every stop has fixed costs: drive, setup, breakdown. A minimum charge makes sure a small job still pays. Mention it on your website so small requests self-select.
Quote in writing
Send the price, what’s included and what isn’t (for example, rust or oxidation removal), and when you can schedule it. A written quote prevents “I thought that was included” at the end of the job.
