Getting paid the same day for pressure washing jobs
Updated October 22, 2026 · For pressure washing and soft wash crews
The best time to get paid is while the driveway is still wet and the customer is looking at a clean house. Every day after that, the job feels less fresh and the invoice slides down their list.
Agree the price before you start
Confirm the price in writing when you book. If the scope changes on site (a second story you didn’t quote, heavy oxidation, a deck that needs stripping), agree the new price before you do the extra work.
Send a payment link when you mark the job done
Have the crew mark the stop done and send the customer a payment link right then, by text or email. Use the payment service you already have, such as Square or Stripe; customers just need a link that opens on their phone.
When the customer isn’t home
Many exterior jobs happen while the customer is at work. Send before-and-after photos with the payment link so they can see the result from their desk. People pay faster when they can see what they’re paying for.
Check the unpaid list every evening
At the end of each day, look at finished stops that aren’t marked paid. Send one reminder the next morning. Most people pay within a day of the reminder; call the rest.
